Dilip Nagarkar, Director, Business Solutions

Dilip Nagarkar is a professional Consultant and Project Manager in Oracle Applications with comprehensive experience in management and delivery of all types of associated services. He has more than 15 years of experience in Oracle Applications and another 5 years in building and implementing custom ERP solutions (including manufacturing areas with special focus on MRP/ Advanced Planning areas) both as a consultant and as an IT head responsible to the board for all IT functions. Prior to working full time in ERP he has also worked as a Management Consultant, Corporate Planner and Manufacturing Manager. During this period he devoted his energies into improving the manufacturing culture in organizations through concepts such as Just in Time, TQM, Customer Orientation and Continuous Improvement.

His expertise covers all the Oracle Applications modules in Manufacturing, Advanced Supply Chain Planning, Order Management, Project Manufacturing and Accounting, Purchasing and Financials. His primary focus is on the Oracle Manufacturing (Discrete, Flow and Process) areas. His breadth of experience includes business needs assessment, client management, project management, functional implementation, and technical / development supervision. His implementation strategy focuses on Lean Manufacturing Concepts based on the Theory of Constraints which seek to improve Throughput, Inventory and Operating Costs. He excels in attention to detailed set up and configuring the Oracle software to meet the minutest business process requirements of the users thereby achieving high productivity for the client. His depth of functional knowledge is supported by extensive knowledge of the Oracle table structures, and tools such as Workflow Builder and Oracle Developer. His first approach is always to seek to enhance the existing functionality through non-invasive methods such as extensions thereby achieving easy future maintainability.

Dilip has worked with many small, medium and large enterprises. The smooth go-live transition achieved with many innovative solutions delivered to meet the end users’ needs have lead to strong commendations by highly satisfied client management.

Dilip’s academic background includes a degree in Engineering from I.I.T. Delhi and a degree in Business from I.I.M Calcutta both nation wide top ranked institutes in India as well as an Associate Membership of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, London, UK. He moved to the US in 1997, lives in Menlo Park, California with his family but spends most of his time at client sites all over the country working closely with the users.
